Our Goal

Our aim is to raise awareness of the wide range of career opportunities in the Marine sector

I am very pleased to say that I have only ever had excellent experiences with CMA. I have found the staff to be very accommodating and willing to support the school and students.
I have seen different staff deliver a range of engagement sessions with students, all have been of high quality and resulted in excellent student voice.
We look forward to hosting more sessions and working with CMA!

Mel Mugford – Assistant Headteacher at Helston Community College

We have really enjoyed working with CMA Tutors to support our students.
Year 9 Employability workshops have really supported our students to make the links between their education, behaviour and their future choices.
We look forward to working with you again soon.

Leanne Sherwood – Careers Leader at Penair School

CMA is a terrific partner to secondary schools across the Duchy. Always flexible, always ready to work with schools to best meet the needs of individual students, CMA staff have an excellent understanding of the Gatsby Benchmarks and the wider Careers Education Framework within which schools work.
CMA is able to deliver high quality advice and guidance and expertly support skills development at both an individual and a group level.
As a key provider and networking body across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, CMA brings an industry and business perspective to schools' work which is invaluable.

David Barton – CASH Executive Officer

We have worked with CMA this year with a selected group of Year 11 students to develop their Employability skills. They joined us for 5 lessons spread over several weeks and achieved so much more with this group!
The tutor structured the sessions well but adjusted content as he begun to get to know and understand the personalities/ academic understanding in the group which really helped the progress of all group members with the tasks.
The tutor formed good relationships with all members of the group.
Several key skills were covered in the sessions i.e. identifying skills and getting individuals to identify their own examples of how they have been developed (via work experience, school, hobbies, life experience) and using these skills with individuals to help them construct their CV and interview skills.

Lorraine Turner – Careers Leader at Poltair School

CMA have been proactive advocates of our 'Inspiring students to dream big, to achieve more'. Through the range of programmes they offer, we have been able to tailor delivery to meet the needs of our students at a school, group and individual level. The quality of delivery and materials is always high and a level that is relatable to our learners.
We are proud of our broad and balanced curriculum and CMA work with us to ensure that their delivery dovetails into this, taking into consideration the demands of the normal school day. We look forward to working with CMA again in the future to inspire our students, raise aspiration and broaden horizons.

Rebs Wilson – Assistant Headteacher at Hayle Academy

We have worked with CMA many times. We have always found them to be supportive and flexible; adapting any sessions to meet the needs of our cohort of students. We especially enjoyed the Prepare to Earn sessions that some of our students have completed.
The students looked forward to the lessons and found them really well delivered and useful.

Kim Snowdon – Careers Lead at Penryn College

CMA were engaging, informative and inspiring when they delivered the Employability Skills session with our Year 10 students, particularly effective at helping our students at risk of NEET, developing their confidence, communication skills and helping them gain a better awareness of expectations in the workplace. Their tutors really care and go the extra mile to meet the needs of the students, for example, translating lesson plans into Arabic for one of our EAL students and developing their career pathways with insight and passion.
