CMA’s aim is to work with you to identify suitable career opportunities and provide you with all of the Information, Advice and Guidance you need to make an informed decision.

Marine-themed Team Building Activities

CMA will provide you with the opportunity to participate in team-building activities helping you build your confidence and self-esteem. Have fun whilst learning about the Cornish Marine sector and creating new friendships.

For those of you interested in exploring the Marine sector further, we will provide you with opportunities to engage with Marine businesses through 1:1 employer/ young person discussions about employment/ Apprenticeship opportunities.

Industrial Site Visits

We can provide you with a range of Marine-related Industry site visits through our voluntary Ambassador network across Cornwall. This is a great first step into meeting employers and seeing if the environments are for you, before discussions about work-experience placements, Apprenticeships or employment opportunities.

Work Experience Placements

Using our voluntary Ambassador network, we are able to arrange work placements of varying lengths available for you to gain real-life Industry experience, which may lead into employment / Apprenticeship opportunities.

In Cornwall, there are 805 Marine businesses and 15,050 people employed within the ever-growing Marine sector. The CMA can point you in the right direction towards Marine related career progressions in further learning, employment or an Apprenticeship with Cornwall Marine Network and CMN Training.
