Amber was studying Applied Science, Economics and Spanish at her local Sixth Form. Once completing these subjects and achieving grades from C to a Distinction* she was left in a 5-month limbo period of not knowing what to do next and how to look for a job. She started off by applying for retail jobs online and handing in her CV to local shops. But with no prevail, she found social interaction difficult, especially with strangers, and that mainstream education didn’t prepare her for working life.
