Our Only World is a dedicated not-for-profit charity, with committed volunteers who work tirelessly addressing the critical issue of single-use plastics. By creating an innovative water refill station that is made locally from resourced and recycled fishing nets, through collaboration we have found a way of reusing the waste we find, but also reducing the pollution at the source.
I have worked in this space, for just over 6 years but soon became very passionate about it. I am passionate about reducing the need for single-use plastics, and I founded Our Only World on this belief. It’s all about payback and protecting our Marine environment for future generations to enjoy. My husband and I (Mark) have been scuba divers since the 1980s, and I would love for my grandchildren to see the marvelous sights we’ve seen in our oceans, but sadly that seems an impossible dream with the mass of pollution and plastics that consume our oceans today.
This is why we are making a stance against single-use plastics and hope to drive local communities to push the importance of this too.
