What would you consider is the best part about your job?

I have been with this company for around a month and feel thoroughly valued and listened to, which doesn’t always happen in this industry. I think it’s a unique branch of conservation as it’s so closely linked with human needs and wellbeing.

How did you get into the job role?

Before this job I was working two part-time jobs, one with Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council running a campaign called Leave Only Footprints, and the other for a charity called Hope Nature Centre, which worked with students with learning difficulties preparing them for work. I was looking for something full-time and back in Cornwall/Devon and found this job advertised. This combines my love of the water with environmental engagement.

Where do you operate in Cornwall?

Roadford, Burrator, Siblyback, Trenchford, Wimbleball and Longham.
