Cat Allinson

Cat is an experienced Commercial Manager who has been working in the Offshore and Marine industry for the past seven years. She is passionate about building long-lasting relationships with clients and partners and identifying opportunities to collaborate. Cat specialises in diversification strategies; identifying new markets and areas where the business can grow.

What would you consider is the best part about your job?

The best bit about working for the Dry Dock is that we’re protecting this historic part of the industry in Cornwall, restarting the industry in the area, and creating more jobs. It isn’t just a dry dock, and everyone who works here gets the opportunity to learn new skills and develop their career.

How did you get into the job role?

I’ve always been ambitious and try to say yes to whatever opportunities have come my way. I did work experience in lots of different companies and volunteered to find out what role I would like to do. I found that a Business Development role allowed me to travel, meet new people and be creative.
